I am honored to serve as the associate minister for the Ooltewah church of Christ, working with Denny Howell, our preacher; and under the oversight of our elders.

In the gospel of John, chapter 1, we see a phrase used twice, once by Jesus and another time by one of Jesus’ followers. The phrase …. “Come and see.”

Two disciples of John saw Jesus, and heard John say, “Behold the Lamb of God!”. (John 1: 36). The two disciples followed Jesus. They wanted to know where Jesus was staying, and Jesus said, “Come and see.” (John 1: 38)

Then, when Philip found Nathanael, telling him that they had found Jesus of Nazareth, Nathanael was skeptical, and asked, “Can anything good come out of Nazareth?”. Philip responded, “Come and see.”. (John 1: 45 – 46)

If you have come across our website and maybe skeptical, wondering about the church of Christ, let me encourage you to come and see. Be ready with an open mind, and open Bible, and see the teaching, worshipping, and things we are doing are according to what God commands from His inspired word, the Bible.

If you are a member of the church of Christ, traveling through the beautiful Chattanooga area, searching for a congregation where you can come and worship our God, then let me invite you to come and see. You will be able to come and “worship in spirit and in truth” (John 4: 24), led by men of the congregation in partaking of the Lord’s Supper, and giving on the first day of the week; praying to God, congregational singing without mechanical instruments, and hearing sound, Biblical sermons. Come and see!
